Choosing Water Heaters

An electric heater warms a fixed volume and stores it, suiting intermittent use but needing time to heat. An instant gas heater warms water as it passes, giving hot water without waiting and using less overall — but it must be installed in a well-ventilated space with a proper flue for exhaust, which is a safety requirement rather than an option. Capacity depends on the number of outlets: 50 L covers a bathroom and kitchen in normal use.
