Green PPR is the most common supply pipe for hot and cold, joined by heat fusion so the fitting becomes one piece with the pipe — which is why it leaks far less than threaded joints. PN20 suits both hot and cold in flats, with a design life of around 50 years at 70 °C. Bad fusion — too little or too much time on the iron — is the main cause of problems, not the material.
